Campus President's Message

Campus PresidentMy warmest welcome to our web site. The primary purpose of our College is to provide education/training and related services to all who have a desire to enter. Each member of the Davis Applied Technology College is deeply committed to student support and student success.

Many new offerings have been added to our lineup this year including: Cosmetology, Nail Technician, Para- Educator and Paralegal programs, in addition to expansion in our Nursing programs. The College is also pursuing additional Associate of Applied Technology Degrees.

Our strong Certificate of Completion and Associate Degree Programs are paramount to our success in offering short-term proficiency training for those who wish to obtain a skill enhancement or employment upgrade. Programs are extended into the afternoon, evenings, and on Saturdays in some cases, to serve our students.

The College is strongly committed to lifelong learning and continuing education. You will find ongoing opportunities to both enhance your career skills and to pursue avocational interests in a variety of new and exciting classes offered by our Employer and Community Education Department. This supplements our vital private and state-funded customized training services offered to the employer community.

One of the most exciting developments over the past 10 years is the establishment of our School of Academic Development. The focus of this school is to prepare every student in reading, mathematics, communications and critical workplace skills required for successful employment. A new group of highly-dedicated faculty is available to assure academic and technical success for students who need academic remediation or technical support skills, or who pursue a Certificate of Completion or Associate Degree.

The administration at the College is totally committed to providing a world-class experience and in creating a very supportive team environment for faculty and staff members. The College is also committed to supporting the Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT) that is constantly adding value to all Colleges under its jurisdiction.

Lastly, we will continue to develop both our student outreach functions and the diversity of our campus to develop strong student leadership organizations which will enhance the quality of the student experience.
