Registration for Distance Learning, Online Courses

Distance Education classes will start on the first day of a month and run through various dates depending on the class. See the links on the left side of this page for more information about Distance Education.

To register for a Distance Education class send an email to: onlineeducation@datc.net with the following twelve points of information:

1. your name
2. address
3. telephone number
4. social security number (if you prefer not to send this via email you may bring it into the Student services office when you come in to pay)
5. e-mail address
6. citizenship
7. race
8. gender
9.  birthdate
10.  Are you currently enrolled in a program? If yes, which program?
11. What class do you wish to take?
12. What start date do you wish? (Must always be on the first of the month.)

If you don’t include all twelve items in your email, your registration cannot go forward.

It may take up to 2 working days for your online registration to be processed.

You will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address you specified above, with the total cost of your class. You should then come in to the cashier’s office at DATC to pay your tuition. In the future this will be done online, but for now, please come into the school.

After you pay your tuition, you will receive an email with the Internet address of your class, and the user name and password that will give you access to your class. The computer will prompt you to change your password after you get into the class for the first time. Write it down somewhere, or keep track of it somehow, as you are the only one who will know your new password. DATC will not know what you have changed your password to.

After that, you will be registered and ready to begin your online class. Please send an email to your instructor using the email inside your course to let them know you got in and are ready to go.
