FAQ’s
What is Distance Learning?
At DATC, Distance Learning is the delivery of programs and classes over the Internet.
How is Distance Learning the same as Face-to-Face Learning?
The programs and classes delivered online are just as rich and robust as the face-to-face classes. They use the same content, tests, and workload, and you are expected to devote the same amount of time and study to them as you do to a regular classroom course.
How is Distance Learning Different From Face-to-Face Learning?
It is more flexible. You can work on your class late at night or early in the morning. You can go to class in your bunny slippers if you like! You communicate with your instructor and other class members through online discussions and email.
Is Online Learning Easier Than On-Site Learning?
Online Learning is NOT easier than face-to-face learning. Students often think this is the case but in fact, some things about online learning may even be a bit more difficult. You have to be motivated to keep up with your work because you don’t see the instructor or feel the pressure of being in a class. You have to put your thoughts into words rather than just say them. Some students report that online learning seems more intense for these reasons.
How Do I Register?
You must apply and register for online learning the same as you would a face to face class.
