Annual Report

Another banner year has been achieved by the DATC Foundation. Some of the highlights are listed as follows:

1. A phenomenal ground breaking was held for the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Entrepreneurial Center. This state of the art facility will be a wonderful enhancement to the current campus as well as providing an exciting building to assist in the development of new businesses. The total cost of $2.1 million dollars is being funded with contributions to the Foundation by community organizations and private donors.
2. The 11th Annual DATC Foundation Golf Tournament was again a resounding success. Over $38,000 was raised by contributions from sponsors as well as players. The majority of the funds will be used to provide scholarships for many students who attend or will attend the College.
3. Scholarship money allocated to the College exceeded $75,000 for the second consecutive year. Words cannot adequately express appreciation to the Foundation Board and College Staff who so freely give of their time and effort to enhance the advancement of one of the most outstanding technical colleges in the nation. It has been an exciting year and 2006 promises to be even better. Let’s all continue to look forward and upward to attain the objectives of excellence that we know can be achieved.
