ADMISSIONS/REGISTRATION
Admission to the College is open to qualified high school students and adults who demonstrate the ability to benefit from training. The College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Vocational Education Programs Guidelines, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
College programs are open entry/open exit and are offered year round. Several programs offer concurrent enrollment and college credit opportunities. The College is open Monday through Friday and is closed on most state and federal holidays.
Students may enroll depending on space availability in the chosen program. The Student Services Department is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 7:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 3:00pm. Registration is available on a walk-in basis, without appointment. For more information regarding admissions and registration requirements, please call (801) 593-2332.

- New students complete institutional orientation as part of their training. This provides each student with the opportunity to review and understand College policies and procedures, scheduling, financial aid, and the rights and responsibilities of students.
- High school students are referred by their school CTE Coordinator through the electronic registration process.
- Adult students sponsored by community agencies and organizations should come prepared with the appropriate authorizations for registration and tuition prior to enrollment.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT & WORK EXPERIENCE CREDIT
Courses at the College are competency-based. For that reason, all Advanced Placement and Work Experience credit is based on the students ability to complete required course work. Students who wish to receive credit for classes taken outside the institution or for previous work experience will need to meet with their instructor(s) to review their records. Some credit may be awarded for documented classes and experiences. Documentation can include transcripts, course certificates, and letters from employers.
In all cases, the College reserves the right to require that students demonstrate their skills through standardized testing, if necessary.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates of Completion and Associate of Applied Technology Degrees awarded by the College to students in recognition of a program completion are issued under the authority of the Utah College for Applied Technology (UCAT). Upon completion of a UCAT approved program, students may apply for a Certificate of Completion. Certificates of Proficiency are also offered for completion of College approved programs. If all qualifications are met, the student will be invited to participate in the quarterly Completer Ceremony.Completer Ceremonies are held on a quarterly basis - February, May, and September. For specific dates, contact the Instructional Manager Support Technician or inquire at the Student Services office.Students with any financial obligations owed the DATC must satisfy these obligations before a certificate can be awarded.Students may also be eligible to obtain an Associate of Applied Technology Degree in the following programs: Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Information Technology, and Medical Assisting. COLLEGE CREDIT
Many of the training program have written agreements to obtain additional college credit for course work completed. Formal articulation agreements exist or are in process between the Davis Applied Technology College and Weber State University, Salt Lake Community College, Davis School District,and Morgan School District. These agreements allow for competencies to be transferred to and from the College for approved courses. GRADING SYSTEM
As an institution, the College has a non-graded competency based system. Student progress is measured by mastery of each competency or skill. Although adults do not receive letter grades, they must make satisfactory progress throughout the period they are enrolled. (See Attendance and Progress under Student Services Policies for further information.)
The College supports the grading policy of the secondary school districts. Suggested letter grades are issued at the end of each term at the request of the school district. Davis School district also requires a suggested citizenship grade. Grades are maintained at the student’s home high school on the official high school transcript.
