Administrative Dental Assistants are responsible for the business area of the dental office. This training prepares the students to handle duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, handling collections, marketing the practice, preparing insurance claims, work with patient accounts, research and followup on insurance company and the dental provider, answer questions about payments, resubmit insurance claims for payment, prepare accounts for statements, answer phones, handle collections and handle patient charts. Students learn inventory control, office maintenance and management, and financial administration. This study will prepare the student to become an administrative dental assistant.
