Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

This course provides the classroom and hands on training for the Emergency Medical Technician Basic License.  Evening classes are available (see details below).  Students must be 18 years old by test date.  Prior to registration students must have a current CPR certification and a TB test.  All applicants must pass the required admissions test to be accepted into the EMT Basic course.  Contact Student Services to register at (801) 593-2332.

Current certifications for CPR and TB test. Must complete

T&Th 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Sat 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $485.00+ Books (approx. $120)
Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (BEMS) fees include a written test and a background criminal investigation (BCI). Students who have lived outside of Utah in the last 5 years will be charged an additional $40 fee and will visit the BEMS after class begins to get a background check.


 

Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate

This course provides the classroom and hands on training for the Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate License.  Prior to registration students must have a current EMT Basic Certification for a minimum of ten (10) months, have a current CPR certification, and a TB test.   Contact Student Services to register at (801) 593-2332.

Paramedic Training in Partnership with WSU

Students desiring further training as a paramedic should inquire at Weber State University (WSU) by calling (801) 626-6521.  Registration and credit are available through WSU.  A portion of the paramedic class is taught on the Davis Applied Technology College campus.
